Courses in General

Two week Intensive course for Beginners (places still available + Intensive Summer classes)

This course is run every two weeks (Mon – Fri 9.30 – 12.30 / 40 lessons) and it is the best way how to receive the most important skills at Czech grammar and pick up the most useful vocabulary “to survive”. We can also offer you an immediate continuing at any of our standard group courses after finishing this class (twice 90 min a week).

Individual classes

Advantage of this course lies in the absolutely individual approach to the student, which means that everything is adjusted to his/her needs: from textbooks, teaching methods and study pace, through types of teaching aids to the amount and type of homework. The whole process and study results are regularly consulted with the student.

For beginners, this is the best way to „immerse“ in the language very quickly in order to be able to „understand“ it and use it as soon as possible.

For advanced students, it is a great opportunity to improve remaining weak points of their Czech.

Standard group classes (courses about to start)

Permanent interaction with other students, practising communication skills in very small classes or getting to know other students‘ perspectives on Czech way of living are obvious advantages of these courses.
However, groups in CLT standard courses consist only of six students, which allow permanent individual approach to each student. We consider groups of more students to be unsuitable for real progress and its pace; therefore we never exceed this limit.

Price per one student is another considerable advantage of this course! (see price list)

Special courses preparing for the Czech Language Exam Level A1 – Requirement by Law for Permanent Residency

The state examination in Czech for foreigners is a very challenging task, which requires special individual preparation. We focus on aspects repeatedly included in the exam and try to provide students with most intense training, so that the exam itself would not be a surprise for them. It is mostly the perfect use of declination and conjugation, all aspects of Czech spelling, pronunciation and the ability to compose written texts.

Corporate courses

These courses can be conducted as individual classes or standard group classes. Upon request, course topics can be focused more on business and economic Czech. We are also able to teach large groups (10-15 students), for which we offer special discounts.

Courses for students speaking Slavic languages

These courses are only offered to students - Slavs. It is because they have specific needs and particularly language dispositions (their languages are similar to Czech), thanks to which they are „ahead“ of other students. Teachers in these courses speak perfect Russian or Polish.

Special courses for children

This course is generally considered the most challenging for teachers. It is mainly because there is a lack of teaching materials and didactic handbooks for teachers. However, we consider courses for children the most interesting and inspiring in our studio. Long-term experience with teaching at primary school enabled us to create at the very beginning a wide range of our own teaching materials specifically designed for children’s needs and abilities.

With young students, we particularly focus on communication skills / perfect grammar is not a priority in this case /, vocabulary and practical use of the language / at school, at the playground, in shops, etc. /. We even have the experience that children attending our course are often the only family members able to deal with various everyday issues in Czech.

Special courses for Czechs who spent most of their life abroad and want to improve their native language

This course is designed for a narrow group of students who „speak“ Czech but want to improve their communication in this language. Often, they need to improve the ability to distinguish between slang and proper Czech, to improve their writing skills or to extend their vocabulary in some fields. We recommend combining this course with individual classes, as the level of language knowledge is really very individual in this stage, and it is necessary to work only with individual student’s needs.
